If you have flu or cold symptoms, or loss of sense of smell or taste, please book a telephone consult with a GP first so that appropriate testing and an appropriate safe review can then be arranged.
As of the 20th July 2020, Medicare has announced changes in the eligibility criteria for medicare Telehealth consultations.
The Government has now restricted COVID-19 Medicare GP Telehealth items to circumstances where a patient has had a face-to-face appointment in the last 12 months with the same general practice or with the same GP. Children aged under 12 months or patients who are homeless or under isolation/quarantine due to COVID.
We still welcome all new patients, however the first appointment will need to be a face-to-face appointment, or we are also able to offer private telephone consultations.
